Marketing Partner Shortlist: A Siliguri Due Diligence Guide

Start with the decision, not an agency ranking

This is a due diligence worksheet for Siliguri businesses comparing marketing proposals. It is not an independent ranking of agencies. Uddhavo publishes this guide as a service provider, so apply the same checks to us as to any other candidate. For our services, local coverage and enquiry options, visit Uddhavo’s Siliguri service page.

A hotel receiving booking enquiries, a clinic managing appointments and a retailer seeking store visits need different marketing plans. Write down the action a customer should take before comparing deliverables. A proposal that promises more traffic without explaining that action is not yet a usable plan.

Check the evidence behind each proposal

Ask for a relevant project example, the work the team actually performed and the measurement period. A screenshot without context does not show whether an enquiry became a customer. Ask what changed, what did not work and which external factors affected the result. Respect client confidentiality: anonymised evidence can be useful when its method and limitations are clear.

For a Siliguri business, ask how the plan handles customers arriving from nearby towns, multilingual enquiries and seasonal demand. A tourism campaign should distinguish trip planning from immediate availability. A clinic should distinguish general information searches from appointment enquiries. These differences affect the landing page and the follow up process.

    Confirm who owns your accounts

Your business should retain control of its domain, website, Google Business Profile, advertising accounts and analytics. Ask which permissions the team needs and how access will be removed when the engagement ends. Do not share personal passwords where delegated access is available.

Check whether creative files, written content and reporting exports are included in the handover. Identify any third party tools or licences that cannot be transferred. Put these terms in writing rather than relying on a sales conversation.

Name the people responsible for delivery

Find out who plans the work, who executes it and who reviews it. Ask how you will approve content, report inaccurate information and handle urgent website problems. A named contact is useful only when the responsibilities and escalation process are defined.

Compare an integrated team with specialists against your actual needs, not an assumed hierarchy. A focused consultant may suit one well defined problem. An agency can suit several connected channels. An internal team can suit a business with ongoing production and management capacity. Read our provider type comparison for those trade offs.

    Review the measurement plan

A useful report explains the source of enquiries, lead quality and what was learned. Ask how phone calls, forms and WhatsApp enquiries will be counted without counting the same customer repeatedly. Agree on what constitutes a qualified enquiry before campaigns begin.

For search, distinguish indexing, visibility, clicks and enquiries. For social content, distinguish reach from conversations. For advertising, check attribution limitations and the connection between the advertisement and its landing page. No responsible team can guarantee a particular Google ranking.

Match the scope to the channel

Use the Siliguri SEO service page when comparing technical audits, local search work and content responsibilities. Use the social media service page when comparing shoots, approvals and community management. For paid search, explore Google Ads support. These are service enquiries, not alternative agency ranking articles.

A connected plan should explain how each channel supports the same customer journey. It should not automatically include every channel. Start with the strongest match between your offer and customer demand, then expand only when measurement supports that choice.

Check the agreement and exit process

Read the approval terms, cancellation notice, handover obligations and the treatment of unfinished work. Ask how changes to scope will be agreed. Confirm whether your team must supply photography, product details or access before delivery can start.

Avoid comparing proposals by the number of posts or keywords alone. Compare responsibilities, evidence, ownership and the work needed from your business. For package information, use the dedicated pricing page; request a custom quote when the scope differs.

    Questions for your final meeting

    • Which customer action is the plan designed to improve?
    • What relevant evidence can you show, and what are its limitations?
    • Who owns the accounts and content after the engagement ends?
    • Who will perform and approve each part of the work?
    • How will enquiries be measured and reviewed?
    • What needs to happen before delivery can start?
    • What is the handover process if we stop working together?

Keep the answers alongside each proposal. If an answer is unclear, ask for clarification rather than assuming it is included. When you are ready to discuss your business, contact Uddhavo or return to the Siliguri city page.
