    The formulas behind the numbers

    ROAS

Revenue earned for every rupee spent on ads.

    Revenue ÷ Ad spend

    Break-even ROAS

The minimum ROAS before ads start losing money.

    1 ÷ Gross margin

    Cost per lead

What you pay to get one enquiry.

    Spend ÷ Leads

    CAC

What you pay to win one paying customer.

    Spend ÷ New customers

    Required budget

Spend needed to reach your lead goal.

    Target leads × CPL

Questions we get asked all the time

    What is a good ROAS?

It depends on your margin. A 40% margin needs a 2.5x ROAS just to break even, while a 20% margin needs 5x. Anything above your break-even ROAS is profit; the break-even figure is the one to track, not a universal "good" number.

What is the difference between ROAS and ROI?

ROAS compares revenue to ad spend. ROI compares profit to spend, so it accounts for your product costs. A campaign can show a healthy ROAS and still lose money if margins are thin.

How do I lower my cost per lead?

Tighten targeting and search terms, improve landing page conversion, test new creatives on Meta, and add negative keywords on Google. Often the biggest gain comes from fixing the page the ad lands on, not the ad itself.

How much should I spend on Google or Meta Ads?

Start from the lead or sales target and your realistic CPL, as in the budget tab. Then leave enough room for the algorithm to learn, which usually means a few weeks of steady spend before judging results.
