      QR code questions answered

How do I see my QR code scans in Google Analytics?

Open Google Analytics 4 and go to Reports, then Acquisition, then Traffic acquisition. Look for the source and medium you set, for example "table_tent / qr", and your campaign name. Note that analytics counts visits to your site after the scan, not the scan itself.

Is this a static or dynamic QR code?

It is static. The link is encoded directly in the code, so it never expires and needs no subscription, but you cannot change the destination after printing. If you may need to change where it points, link to a short redirect URL on your own website and update the redirect later.

What is the best size to print?

Keep it at least 2 cm by 2 cm (about 0.8 inch) for close scanning, and larger for posters. A good rule is one unit of width for every ten units of scanning distance. Always leave a clear blank margin around the code.

Why does my QR code look dense?

Longer links make denser codes that are harder to scan when printed small. UTM parameters add length, so use short, clear values, or point the code at a short redirect on your own domain.

      Can I add my logo?

Yes. Upload a logo and it sits in the centre. The tool switches error correction to the highest level so the code still scans. Always test with at least two phones before you print.
